Liaison Officer, Collaborations and Partnership

JOB PURPOSE

The incumbent will provide a framework for maintaining good standards and procedures in the sourcing and maintenance of partnerships and collaborations.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 Identifying, evaluating and developing collaborative opportunities with external stakeholders, both locally and internationally in terms of research collaborations, joint projects, student exchange programs, internships, funding opportunities, and other initiatives.
 Preparing, coordinating and implementing partnership and collaboration agreements like Memorandums of Collaborations.
 Establishing and maintaining partnerships with other institutions, organizations, and industry partners.
 Facilitating the exchange of knowledge, resources, and expertise through joint research projects, exchange programmes, academic programs, and conferences.
 Managing the administrative processes related to collaborations and partnerships, including agreements, contracts, and funding proposals.
 Promoting collaboration opportunities to faculty, researchers, and students within the university.
 Serving as the primary point of contact for partner organizations and coordinating communication between them and the University’s departments and faculties.
 Supporting the development and implementation of internationalization strategies and initiatives.
 Coordinating visits, delegations, and conferences related to collaborations and partnerships.
 Keeping up-to-date with trends and developments in higher education, research, and industry partnerships.
 Developing and monitoring the divisions annual procurement plan and budget.
 Supporting funding and grant applications by faculty, researchers and departments by identifying and accessing funding opportunities for collaborative projects.
 Monitoring and evaluating the outcomes and impact of collaborative activities.
 Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time to time by the University Management.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

 Master’s Degree in Business, Communication, Public Relations, International Relations, Education or a related field
 Well vast with University education trends.
 Well-grounded in policy development, conceptualization and implementation
 Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal including the ability to disseminate information effectively, proof read documents and amend documentation as necessary
 Proven organization and time management skills
 Strategic thinker and goal getter
 Excellent leadership and Interpersonal skills
 Ability to motivate and steer team members to achieve set targets
 Conversant with budgeting and budget monitoring
 Proficient in Computer Applications
