Legal Intern

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Contract management(storage, organization and maintenance of contracts in our digital tool)
Assisting us keep our data processing register and meet other privacy law requirements
Research to get to the bottom of all sorts of ‘legal’ questions coming up in relation to any part of the business (HR, IP, contracting, regulatory, etc.)
Improving and creating template contracts (for our customers and employees)
Protection of Intellectual Property (trademarks)
Policies and other documents for data privacy and other regulatory compliance
Corporate governance(board and shareholder resolutions)

‍EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s Degree in Law
Should have just completed or be in the process of completing their Law studies and have relevant work experience (interning at a law firm and or other organizations)
Strong ethics with an ability to manage confidential information
Strong interpersonal skills, demonstrating professionalism in all dealings
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Excellent timemanagement skills
Ability to meet deadlines
Should be detail oriented
Should have good research skills
Must have the ability to work as part of a team
Ability to be creative and take an ‘outside the box’ approach
Ability to show and take initiative with proactive attitude
