We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our team. You will play a vital role in supporting the legal department by conducting legal research, assisting with document drafting and review, and managing legal documents and records.
Legal Research:
Conduct legal research on various platforms such as kenyalaw.org
Provide support to the management and legal team in analyzing and interpreting laws, regulations and legal precedents
Stay informed about new regulations and assist in appraising the team on them
Document drafting:
Assist in preparation and review of legal documents such as letters, contracts, MOUs, agreements, leases.
Assist in preparation and review of briefs, memos and other documents for external and internal use.
Legal audit and Reporting;
Assist in maintaining and reporting of details of departmental costs.
Assist in preparation of compliance reports.
Update reports on existing leases and permits and new applications.
Collaborate and coordinating with other departments on collection of legal contracts, agreements and report on gaps.

Document archive management:
Manage and assist in filing and maintaining legal documents including contracts, agreements, legal correspondence using various web-based tools
Monitor expiration of leases, contracts
Handle large volumes of digital and paper records and keeping them organized.
Administrative support:
Provide administrative support to management including following up on permits and licenses, immigration applications, handling correspondence.
Handle Day to day employee inquiries and concerns related to corporate matters
Prepare of creative team presentations for different projects and internal presentations
Skills and qualifications:
Diploma in Legal Studies/paralegal
Previous experience in legal assistant roles is preferred.
Strong knowledge of legal procedures and regulations.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite.
Skilled multi-tasker that can accomplish range of projects on schedule.
Problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and in a team.
Strong time management and prioritization abilities.
Go-getter who wants to get things done, results-oriented, able to follow projects through to final completion.
