Requirements for Appointment
PhD or equivalent degree qualification in the relevant field from a recognized/accredited University with at least three (3) years of teaching experience at the University level or in research or in industry
OR
A Master’s degree qualification (Should be registered for a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or equivalent Doctoral Degree qualification);
Must have published at least three (3) papers in peer-refereed journals or three (3) chapters in a scholarly book or one (1) scholarly book;
Be registered or registered with the relevant professional body (where applicable);
Demonstrated potential for teaching and research;
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Lecturing in area of specialization in accordance with the syllabus;
Coordinating course projects and practical work;
Preparing teaching/learning materials;
Setting, invigilating and marking examinations/assignments;
Carrying out research work in relevant field or specialization;
Preparing students progress reports;
Developing proposals for research funding;
Writing journal articles and books;
Presenting academic papers in conferences/seminars/workshops or symposia;
Developing and reviewing academic programmes/curricula; and
Supervising students’ projects.
