Lease Portfolio Manager

Role summary

The Lease coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the management and administration of lease agreements for the company’s vehicle fleet. This role will involve coordinating lease transactions, ensuring compliance with lease terms, managing renewals and terminations and optimizing the lease portfolio. You will work closely with financial institutions, internal departments and lessee’s to ensure effective lease management and asset utilization.

Key  Responsibilities:

Assist in analyzing  financial information and evaluation of  creditworthiness applicants using financial statements and credit histories.
Administer and oversee all aspects on the Pay As You Drive Subscriptions including initiation, monitoring and compliance.
Analyze financial information and evaluate the creditworthiness of applicants using financial statements and credit histories.
Process credit applications within established limits and provide recommendations, including preparing comprehensive credit analyses for presentation to the credit committee.
Assess business, economic, and industry risks to clearly identify financial and other risks associated with transactions (e.g., assets, structures).
Assist in reviewing and negotiating agreements, financing, joint development, and multi-partner arrangements.
Consolidate and produce accurate, insightful, and relevant reports for the department and company.
Ensure that lease agreements are accurately executed and maintained.
Monitor lease expiration dates and manage the renewal including negotiating new terms
Oversee the termination process for leases, ensuring timely and compliant vehicle returns
Evaluate and recommend lease extension options or new leasing opportunities based on operational needs
Manage Pay As You Drive Fees and monitor financial projections against budgeted projections
Track and report on lease-related expenses, including costs associated with lease initiation, maintenance and termination
Prepare reports and analysis related to lease portfolio
Identify opportunities for improving the  lease management processes and efficiency 
Develop and implement best practices and procedures to enhance lease management operations
Overseeing Insurance Management, claims handling, reporting and insurance documentation. 
Other roles as required. 

Our ideal candidate would have:

Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or other business related field 
Certified Financial Analyst will be an additional advantage 
3-5 years of strong financial experience in a leasing company, deposit taking sacco or any other financial institution. 
Impeccable understanding of financial statements, ratios and concepts
Experience performing financial modeling and the understanding of financial concepts.
Proficiency with spreadsheets, databases. Additional knowledge of financial software is a plus..
