Lead, Warehouse and Logistics

Reporting to the SCM Director, the incumbent’s role will include but not limited to:

Ensure that all inventory and warehousing processes are well documented, complied to and routinely reviewed to mitigate any gaps
Maintain inventory within the approved parameters at all given points and within the trade to avoid zero stock outs on all sellable Inventory
Drive Warehouse Hygiene/ Management through optimal use of warehouse space by following proper stacking norms, disposals, layout management, receipts, and issues escalations in monthly deployment meetings.
Effective management of contracted vendors and partners by ensuring timely payments, performance management and compliance to contracted service level agreements (SLAs)
Track and manage Capital Work in Progress (CWIP) to achieve the annual set target
Be the single point of contact with Customs and Government on Audits, both current and historical.
Drive proactive engagement with Customs authorities to mitigate against exposures to the business both short term and Long Term
Ensure all imports and exports are well documented in line with current Government regulations and requirements.
Manage the clearing and forwarding service provider to ensure timely clearance of all imported consignments
Manage the repairs and returns tracker for end-to-end visibility to ensure SLAs and TATs are adhered to with minimal delay risk exposure.
Oversee outsourced Warehouse management team.
Ensure all imports and exports are well documented in line with current Government regulations and requirements.

Qualifications:

University degree in Business, Management, Engineering or equivalent
Graduate Diploma of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply (UK)
Excellent knowledge of ERP Applications; Oracle (or equivalent)
At least 5 years’ experience in a busy warehousing environment
Knowledge of Telecommunications equipment is an added advantage
