In this capacity, the professional will:
Lead a team of Oracle DBAs to offer enterprise database consultancy to clients in a way that ensures integrity, performance, and reliability.
Coordinate activities performed by the team, track, and report on team activities, define and document team processes, troubleshoot escalated issues and will be hands-on in operational
Apps and Core DBA tasks which involves database monitoring, performance tuning, backup and recovery, installation, maintenance, and disaster recovery for Oracle EBS and Database.
Primary Responsibilities
Lead other Oracle DBAs in the execution of assigned projects.
Defining, documenting, and maintaining Oracle DBA team processes.
Reporting to the Head of Technical Operations on the Oracle DBA projects and team activities
Installation, configuration, upgrading, administrating, monitoring, troubleshooting, cloning, Patching, Backup and restore of Oracle EBS. Would be responsible for reviewing application/databases, identify performance bottlenecks and fixing those.
Resolving complex issues involving database performance, database capacity, resiliency, stability, replication, and other key aspects of distributed database technology.
Responsible for physical database design and implementation, database security implementation and monitoring.
Provides hands on technical expertise, provides senior level technical guidance to staff, project leaders and other teams as necessary.
Researching and recommending solutions that best meet business needs and enterprise operational requirements for clients.
Work closely with multiple application development/implementation team(s) to implement and support data-oriented development efforts.
Good knowledge of OEM & product licensing.
Required Skills / Experience
Over 5 years’ experience in Oracle Apps Database Administration with at least 3 years in client facing roles.
Demonstrable experience in Oracle Database and EBS upgrades from 11g/12c to 19c.
2+ years of direct IT experience supporting database environments on a UNIX/Solaris platform
Minimum of Oracle Database Certified Professional (OCP).
Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Management Information Systems, Computer Sciences, Information Technology, or other Information Technology related major.
Experience with features such as Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC), ASM and Active Data Guard, WebLogic, etc.
Ability to successfully manage/lead a team of technical IT resources with demonstrated progression of increased scope and complexity.
Proficiency with working with MS Excel, MS Word, and MS outlook.
Capable of understanding the technical aspects of a complex system
Strong technical troubleshooting skills and problem solving. Demonstrates the ability to think through situations outside the norm and develop appropriate solutions for isolating the root cause.
Must have excellent communication skills and a passion for providing world-class service.
Must be able to work independently as well as with others, as part of a domestic and international team.
Excellent time management, decision making, prioritization and organization skills.
Good knowledge in Oracle database/E Business suite architecture and components.
Good knowledge of PLSQL, and SQL
Ability to fine tune the concurrent processing in large EBS environment.
