Job Description

Market Research: Conduct comprehensive market research to identify potential manufacturers and distributors as leads within the FMCG, Pharmaceutical, Energy, Building & Construction sectors across Africa.
Identifying Potential Customers: This involves researching and analyzing target markets, identifying potential leads through various channels like online databases, social media, industry events, and networking.
Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with industry trends and competitive landscape to refine lead generation strategies and usage of appropriate tools which bring results.
Building Relationships: Lead generators often engage with potential customers through various communication channels, such as email, phone calls, and social media, to build rapport and nurture relationships.
Qualifying Leads: Once potential leads are identified, lead generators assess and qualify leads based on predefined criteria to
ensure they align with Solutech’s ideal customer profile.
Scheduling Appointments: Identify key decision makers, gather information, and book meetings for business development executives. Schedule meetings or demos between qualified leads and introduce as well as handover to the sales team.
Tracking and Reporting: Meticulously track their activities, monitor key metrics like conversion rates, and report their progress to
management.
Collaboration: Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to develop effective lead generation strategies and ensure a seamless transition of qualified leads.
Research and Analytical Skills: The ability to research, analyze data, and identify potential leads is crucial.
Sales and Persuasion Skills: While not directly closing deals, lead generators need persuasive skills to engage potential customers and generate interest.
Organizational and Time Management Skills: Managing multiple leads and tasks efficiently is essential.
CRM Proficiency: Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) software is often required to track leads and manage interactions.

Requirements

Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in business, sales, marketing, or related field.
A proven track record of success in sales roles, preferably in the software or technology industry
At least 2 years of experience in sales roles
Knowledge of any Sales automation tools would be an added advantage.
Knowledge of using a CRM tool for tracking the sales pipeline would be an added advantage.
Basic understanding of software integration and implementation processes.
Knowledge in CRM Software such as Salesforce, HubSpot, Pipedrive, Zoho and Lead Generation Software: Leadfeeder, LeadIQ
Experience in generating leads using Social Media Platforms such as LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook and use of email Marketing Tools i.e Mailchimp, Constant Contact
