Job description
Your Role
As Lead Copywriter, you will be the master storyteller responsible for creating and maintaining the tone with which KOKO speaks. You will develop content for brand, social stories, film, and snackable videos and radio, working closely with lead designers and KOKO’s creative director.
What You Will Do
Develop KOKO messaging in communication material for our target audiences
Brainstorm visual and copy ideas with other members of the creative team
Write and present content ideas
Modify copy for existing communication material and documentation
Oversee production across all content formats
What You Will Bring to KOKO
4+ years of experience working in advertising, communications, or equivalent
Bachelor’s degree or higher in journalism, communication, advertising, or equivalent
Proven delivery of ideas that work and/or award-worthy ideas. Excellent craft writing skills in English and Swahili
Interest in technology, commerce, popular culture, and new advertising trends and techniques
Curiosity, creativity, and imagination
Comfort in a multicultural environment Great interpersonal skills
Great eye for detail
Ability to move fast and make decisions under pressure
