Laboratory Quality Control Officer Pharmacist- Machakos Customer Service Assistant Marketing Officer Community Oral Health Officer

Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and maintain laboratory quality assurance programs.
Establish and maintain quality control (QC) procedures to ensure the accuracy of test results
Monitor laboratory activities to ensure compliance with established quality standards and regulations.
Ensure compliance with national and international regulatory bodies
Prepare and coordinate laboratory accreditation and certification processes.
Maintain documentation for audits and inspections, ensuring readiness for regulatory reviews.
Conduct regular internal audits to assess laboratory compliance with quality standards.
Identify non-conformities and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Analyze laboratory performance data and report findings to management.
Develop, review, and update laboratory SOPs to align with best practices and regulatory requirements.
Ensure laboratory staff adhere to SOPs and provide training when updates occur.
Develop and conduct quality assurance training programs for laboratory personnel.
Evaluate staff competency in performing laboratory tests and maintaining quality standards.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement and quality awareness within the laboratory.
Investigate laboratory errors, incidents, and deviations, ensuring appropriate documentation and resolution.
Conduct risk assessments and recommend improvements to reduce quality-related risks.
Implement and monitor proficiency testing programs.
Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment
Monitor reagent and supply quality to prevent contamination or expired materials from affecting test results.
Support the laboratory to attain ISO 15189:2012 Accreditation.

Qualifications

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a clinical laboratory, with a focus on quality assurance.
Registration Certificate and valid practicing license issued by KMLTTB.
Knowledge of laboratory regulations, accreditation standards, and quality management systems.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
Proficiency in Healthcare management information systems and Microsoft Office applications.
Must Be trained on ISO 15189:2012
Experience working in an ISO 15189:2012 accredited Laboratory.
Certificate in computer application

Education

Bachelor’s Degree or Higher Diploma in Medical Laboratory Science and Technology or its equivalent
Certification in Quality Assurance, Laboratory Management, or related field preferred.
