Overall purpose of the job:
To co-ordinate and controlthe activities of the laboratory in the Outpatient centre.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensurequality, accurate and consistent results generationfor outpatient and referral centretests
Give medical examination feedback in a timely manner
Attend to customer service queriesin a timely manner
Supervise staff within the laboratory
Ensure compliance to standard operating procedures
Ensure appropriate stock levels versus tests done and functioning of machines.
Ensure that all medical data within the laboratory is properly managed
Develop, implement and monitor a system of sample handling and custody
Develop a result reporting tool and template for research partners
Establish a proper referral system
Prepare laboratory reports
Train and offer support to laboratories that outsource to AAR Healthcare
Position Requirements:
A Higher National Diploma (HND) in Medical Laboratory Science.
A Degree/Masters is an added advantage.
At least two (2) years appropriate experiences in the management of laboratorystaff and functions.
Musthave a registration certificate from theKenya Medical Laboratory Technician and Technologist Board.

Ability to maintain integrity and confidentiality
Research experience is an addedadvantage
