Kitchen Technician

Responsibilities for the Kitchen Technician

Service, Repair and Maintain machines and equipment within the assigned units as need arises
Safely perform highly complex repairs of the physical property, electrical, plumbing and mechanical equipment, air conditioners, refrigeration and heaters – ensuring all methods, materials and practices meet company standards with little or no supervision.
Display proficiency in at least three of the following categories, above average skills in three more of the following categories and basic skills in the remaining categories: air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems and controls, carpentry and finish skills, kitchen equipment, vehicles, energy conservation, and/or general building management.
Troubleshoot and perform repairs on all types of equipment (e.g., pumps), plumbing (e.g., plunge toilets and unclog drains), electrical equipment including lamps, air conditioners, extension cords, vacuum cleaners, internet devices, replace electrical switches.
Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed
Daily checking the electrical/electronic status of all machines, equipment at the assigned restaurant.
Purchasing of relevant spare parts required through authorization of Project Manager.
Maintain daily checklists, ensuring all kitchen equipment are in good condition.
Ensure availability when required at any or our restaurants
Ensure that all the interior and exterior building electrical, electronic works and lighting conform to the acceptable set brand standards.
Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; complete safety training and certifications; and properly store flammable materials
Periodic preventive maintenance for machines and equipment is in place without interfering with the normal operations and depending on the urgency
Ensuring all equipment and machines are working and in good condition
Any other duties that may be delegated by the management through the General Manager Operations or his Designate

Qualifications

Diploma/Certificate/ Trade Test in Electrical/ Electronic Engineering.
3 years’ experience in maintenance field.
Experience in electronic/electrical servicing or maintenance of hotel/restaurant kitchen equipment will be a distinct advantage.
