JOB DESCRIPTION
Collect data via an electronic data collection tool at schools using Impact Water systems on a daily basis to measure achievement against the performance indicators.
Ensure the timely delivery of quality reports and other deliverables related to monitoring and evaluation (M&E) to the M&E Officer.
Conduct a microbiological test on the purified water at all schools.
Demonstrate a complete understanding of the monitoring and evaluation system
Check data quality with customers by making sure all information collected and reported is ethical, accurate, and complete
Identify lessons learned and develop case studies to capture qualitative outputs of the project. Provide advice to the supervisor on improving project performance using M&E findings.
In coordination with the Manager, develop fieldwork plan, to visit all schools within the expected time frame. Expected number of schools to visit in a day is 4-5
Review systems installed at schools for compliance and quality.
Serve as an Impact Water representative during visits to schools, conduct customer service activities as necessary. Consultants are expected to uphold Impact Water values and standards at schools.
Communicate daily with the M&E Officer, providing daily reports.
Upon completion of the survey, make sure all information is uploaded on time.
QUALIFICATIONS
Prior experience with data collection (paper or electronic) and conducting qualitative interviews is required.
Ability and willingness to travel to remote areas and working with remote teams within the assigned region is essential
High attention to detail and ability to work independently.
Strong interpersonal and communications skills. Excellent organizational skills including the ability to multitask.
Degree in social sciences, preferred but not required.
Good working knowledge of both written and spoken English, Kiswahili
Knowledge on the usage of data collections tools on smartphone such as ODK
Excellent problem solving and planning skills
Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
Able to work effectively as part of a diverse team
Length of contract: 3 months with possible extension with successful performance
