CISP Kenya carries out projects in areas of development by supporting national and county authorities to provide quality, equitable, transparent and accountable services in the sectors of health and nutrition, higher education, child protection and governance.
Role and ResponsibilitiesProgram development
Develop and disseminate visibility materials, tools and publications promoting CISP best practices in the different sectors of intervention.
Identify partnership opportunities with implementing and funding organizations
Establish working relations with implementing and funding organizations
Identify call for proposals and develop consortium.
Carry out need assessments and develop new project ideas.
Write project proposals, narrative and budgets-
Actively participate in national debate, workshops and networking opportunities.
Program management
Ensure coordination and quality management of all projects implemented in Kenya, according to CISP’s rules and policies and donor’s requirements.
Ensure continuous relations with donors, submission of quality and timely narrative and financial reports. Support processes of external evaluations and audits.
Ensure innovative approaches are included in existing and future programs in order to increase positive impact on project beneficiaries.
Carry out field missions to monitor ongoing projects and strengthen the collaboration with partners and beneficiaries.
Program Coordination
Ensure CISP is represented in technical working groups in the sector of Child Protection, health, nutrition, higher education and governance.
Represent CISP in key meetings with donors and partners, including working groups where CISP has a facilitating or chairing role.
Identify and coordinate the relations with implementing partners (defining and signing MoUs, review meetings, etc.)
Human Resource Management
Support the development of programme staff structures, initiate recruitment of staff, monitor their performance and act accordingly, identify capacity building needs and guarantee provision of trainings.
Reporting
Submit monthly programme reports according to HQ template.
Refer to the Country Director for signature of agreements, contracts and approval of new policies.
Profile Required Educational:
At least a Master Degree in one of the following relevant fields: development and cooperation, social and political sciences, education, humanitarian and international affairs, with at least 6 years of experience. Technical / Professional:
Experience in managing, implementing, and monitoring projects above 100 Million Ksh (at least 6 years).
Successful development and funding of project proposals
Ability to coordinate and develop the capacity of personnel and mediate conflicts
Ability to facilitate and coordinate meetings
Fluent written and spoken English
Have a valid certificate of good conduct.
