Roles & Responsibilities:
Lead Race mark in its pursuit of improved lean manufacturing via continuous Kaizen activities
Creation and maintaining time studies of individual processes as required to determine baseline times.
Assist in implementing process improvements with lean manufacturing concepts reducing cycle times and increasing employee efficiencies via successful tracking and monitoring system for sustainment and progress towards KPI performance, etc. consolidating performance metrics, projects, and activities.
Support production in the creation and management of Standard Work Instructions
Utilize Continuous Improvement through Employee engagement in ideas and implementation
Develop metrics and dashboard measures designed to include the entire plant population in both understanding of key performance indicators and necessary actions to improve KPI’s
Utilize improvement tools including A-3’s, Ishikawa diagrams, Visual Management Boards, Daily Management Activities
Coach, Facilitate or Lead advanced improvement events including: Value Stream Mapping of complex value streams
Support Production team in coaching individuals in key roles to develop proficiency by leveraging formal training, improvement events, and mentoring
Be internal consultant / Trainer, Conduct trainings – Calculate kaizen skill scores for all employees in the organization, make skill improvement plan (Training calendar), and Identify people capable of becoming Trainers.
Keep the scores – Identify result & process indicators for all projects; to maintain Kaizen Gallery – Results & process indicators;
Make kaizen visual in all sections;
Be part of kaizen meetings & make sure people follow the right problem-solving approach i.e. why analysis, Gap analysis etc., Calculations & keep gains from various projects
Conduct internal audits towards sustenance – Follow up on kaizen audits, identify the type of audit to be conducted, Develop / customize the audit sheets.
Drive Operational Health, Safety and Environment initiatives / activities
Minimum Requirements:
Bsc in Chemical and Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering, from an accredited institution
6+ years of experience facilitating and managing Lean Manufacturing programs, with at least 4 Years hands on experience as a KAIZEN Coordinator in a Manufacturing / Chemical Industry
Experience managing 5S programs
Kaizen / Lean management certification, Preferably Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certified
ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018 will be an added advantage
Professional Health and Safety training will be an added advantage
