Job Responsibilities:
Go to Market Strategy
Develop a trade segmentation and Go-to-Market Strategy that outlines the service providers’ role and optimizes distribution and coverage in each channel.
Collaborate with Brand Marketing and Consumer Insights teams to validate retail environments based on shopper profiles.
Channel Strategy
Evaluate the performance of Colgate-Palmolive (CP) and product categories in each channel, define strategies, and set objectives.
Establish objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs) for all categories and retail settings, ensuring effective tracking mechanisms.
Proactively respond to market shifts (including competitor activities) through in-store programs and strategies in line with the company objectives
Analyze customer and channel promotions, creating a performance history library and adjusting plans for better return on investment.
Customize Category Promotion activities by retail environment and identify strategies for growth.
7P & RE Strategies
Outline the 7P strategy and tactics for each Retail Environment and channel.
Utilize shopper and trade insights, along with performance assessments, to provide recommendations for excellent 7P execution across all the channels.
Develop communication tools for the 7Ps and provide user-friendly guidelines to Customer Development (CD) merchandising as well as distributor teams for effective management and execution of strategies and tactics.
Track and monitor the 7Ps, offering corrective action recommendations to the CD teams as needed.
Insights
Identify and prioritize Shopper/ Retail Environment (RE) insights across all the channels.
Establish strong business analytics, including Share of Market (SOM), Share of Assortment (SOA) and Distribution metrics, business performance analytics, competitor analytics as well as post campaign analysis.
Commercial Planning
Identify and implement Retail Environment (RE) Growth Initiatives and collaborate with Brand Marketing on relevant shopper programs and thematics.
Compile customer needs by RE for input into commercial plans and offer a retailer perspective during the commercial process.
Identify gaps and provide solutions by RE in monthly Commercial Meetings.
Coordinate the planning and execution of channel and account activities, ensuring timely and accurate communication to relevant teams.
Training & Communication
Facilitate communication & showcase of Best Practice learnings.
Assist CD teams with selling skills training and share selling stories.
External Focus
Share information about competitive activities throughout the organization and suggest counter strategies, in line with the company objectives.
Stay updated on retailers’ stated growth strategies.
Emphasize increasing engagement with customers and distributors at all organizational levels.
Ensure ample time is spent in-country and on the ground to gather market information, understand retailer operations, gain insights into shoppers and customers.
Track and measure in-store execution across all REs.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree with a specialization in Business and or Marketing Management.
At least 2 years of experience in Sales, Marketing, or Trade/Customer Marketing within the Consumer Goods (CG) or Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry.
Hands-on experience in dealing with customers in the market.
Previous work experience in a collaborative, cross-functional environment
Advanced skills in using spreadsheets and creating presentations for effective storytelling.
Strong analytical abilities, problem-solving mindset, and business development.
Ability to cultivate positive relationships with key stakeholders and influence decision-makers.
Proficient in project management.
Familiarity with Nielsen and other data sources/systems.
Excellent communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams, even in remote locations
