Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Daily user support, troubleshooting and handling of daily support tasks in the office or remotely as need arises.
Developing, updating and maintaining the company’s websites.
Perform website updates, maintenance, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal website functionality, performance and security.
Conduct thorough testing and quality assurance to identify and resolve any issues or bugs.
Optimize websites for speed, performance, and SEO best practices.
Customize and configure WordPress plugins to enhance website functionality and user experience.
Stay updated on the latest WordPress trends, technologies, and best practices to continually enhance our websites.
Collaborate with the Graphic design team to ensure seamless integration of design elements and user-friendly interfaces.
Administration of the various systems in place; servers and any other entities in place for the company’s business needs.
Administration, support and configuration of the PBX systems in the office, maintenance and troubleshooting as need arises.
Maintenance, troubleshooting and configuration of printers in the office, and any other hardware equipment in the office as required.
Maintenance of cloud servers, security hardening, troubleshooting and administration.
Ensuring updated records of employee profiles, accounts creation and termination upon employee exit.
Training of users on any new software that is used for productivity in the office.
Performing all networking responsibilities in the office for LAN, cable management, Ethernet and WiFi.
Ensuring that power supply and backup is well maintained in the server room for smooth operation of all
connectivity and operational infrastructure.
Monitoring of network traffic, to ensure security and enforcement of security policies in the office for seamless operation.
Implement and maintain firewall and network security measures to protect against unauthorized access and Cyber threats.
Stay updated on the latest security threats and best practices to ensure a robust security posture.
Generate reports on support activities, incident trends, and performance metrics as required.
Stay updated with industry trends, new technologies, and best practices to enhance skills and knowledge.
Perform other related duties as required.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, or a related field.
Any networking qualification, an added advantage, but not mandatory.
Experience in IT support especially on desktop support.
Hands on experience with web content management systems i.e WordPress.
Knowledge of the UNIX and Linux Operating Systems is preferred.
Knowledge of Apache2, Nginx web servers.
Knowledge of Docker and containerization.
