IT Consultant, Centre of Excellence in Women and Child Health EA

Job Summary
The consultancy entails providing IT technical expertise to the Women in Health and their Economic, Equity and Livelihood statuses during Emergency preparedness and Response (WHEELER) research project.  The IT Consultant is expected to recommend technological solutions to survey data as well as test the technology before recommending the solution. He/she will work closely with the WHEELER study research team.
Responsibilities

Digitizatize the quantitative and evaluation data collection tools on a hand held device;
Set the eHealth sites established in Mombasa and Kilifi Counties;
Develop eHealth centers operating procedures and costed operation and maintenance plans; and
Operationalize the eHealth centers.

Requirements

Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT or relevant field; 
Must have at least 3 years’ demonstrable experience as an IT Consultant, preferably in health project management;
Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software and network problems is key to this role;
Have practical experience with various operating systems and databases;
Possess an analytical mind with excellent problem-solving abilities; and 
Be a team player with excellent communication and presentation skills.
