IT Associate

Job Responsibilities

Provide technical support for hardware, software, and network issues across retail stores and offices.
Install, configure, and maintain IT equipment, including POS systems, computers, printers, and mobile devices.
Monitor and manage the company’s IT network, ensuring security and optimal performance.
Assist in managing and maintaining e-commerce platforms and inventory management systems.
Support the implementation of IT projects, including system upgrades and new technology rollouts.
Ensure data security, backup processes, and disaster recovery plans are effective.
Troubleshoot connectivity issues, system errors, and IT service interruptions.
Maintain and update IT documentation, including user manuals and technical procedures.
Train staff on IT policies, security protocols, and software usage.
Work with external vendors and service providers to procure and maintain IT equipment.
Oversee IT asset management, including inventory tracking and license renewals.
Ensure compliance with IT security standards and data protection regulations.
Stay updated with the latest mobile technology trends and recommend improvements.

Qualifications and Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
2-3 years of experience in an IT support or technical role, preferably in the retail or e-commerce sector.
Strong proficiency in Windows, Mac OS, and Linux operating systems.
Experience with POS systems, database management, and cloud computing solutions.
Knowledge of networking protocols, firewalls, VPNs, and cybersecurity best practices.
Hands-on experience in troubleshooting software and hardware issues.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills and ability to support non-technical users.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple IT tasks simultaneously.
Certifications such as CompTIA A+, CCNA, ITIL, or Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) are a plus.
