Duties and Responsibilities
Approve the Board’s Strategic Plan and Budget.
Mobilize potential investment opportunities and facilitate investment partnerships on behalf of the government.
Undertake investment promotion activities locally and internationally.
Assist in offering investment facilitation services to both local and foreign investors.
Assist the Board in ensuring the proper and effective performance of the corporation.
Supervise and monitor staff of the Board.
Ensure the Board complies with laws, codes, and investment regulations.
Represent the interest of the County Government of Homa Bay.
Any other responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time.
Advising the County Executive Committee on all matters related to the administration of investment opportunities.
Carry out such other roles necessary for the implementation of the objectives and purpose of the Homa Bay County Investment and Development Corporation Act, 2020.
Requirements for Appointment
Be a Kenyan Citizen.
Have a minimum of a Diploma in industry, Trade, Business, Investment Social Sciences, and any other relevant courses from institutions recognized in Kenya.
Possession of a degree and master’s certificate will be an added advantage.
Have knowledge and experience of at least five years in matters relating to Investments, Entrepreneurship, Development, Business, and Industry.
Satisfy the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya.
