Inventory Control Specialist

The Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of our inventory management across all Afyanzima clinics.

Responsibilities

Product and Inventory Management

Manage and coordinate product lists for new facility launches.
Oversee initial stock takes and product valuations.
Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy in product details within the Health Management Information System (HMIS).
Manage the creation and tracking of new Stock Keeping Units (SKUs).

Inventory Control

Coordinate regular stock takes & cycle counts across all facilities.
Ensure strict compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Manage stock transfers between facilities efficiently.
Accurately reflect inventory movements in all management platforms.

Product Lifecycle Management

Manage handling of expired and damaged products.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Coordinate product disposal in accordance with established SOPs.

Stock Management & Reporting

Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
Develop and maintain updated SOPs for inventory management.
Provide timely and accurate inventory management reports.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Procurement, Clinic Transformation, and Operations teams.

Required

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience.
Proven familiarity with pharmaceutical inventory management regulations is a plus!
Strong knowledge of inventory management and HMIS systems.
Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and data management tools.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent organizational abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
Previous experience in healthcare inventory management is a plus!
