Successful applicant will be reporting to the Program Advisor – Political Pluralism & Diversity
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
Applicants for the above position should possess the following:
Applicant should have graduated or has finalised 4th year course work and is awaiting graduation, to graduate with a minimum degree in Law, Arts, Political Science or International Relations.
Applicants with a Law degree should not be currently admitted to Kenya School of Law or if admitted should have successfully completed pupillage and is awaiting admission to the bar.
Between 3 months to 1 year demonstrable experience in issues related to identity and inclusion (women’s rights, ethnicity, minority rights, refugee rights LGBTI rights, political participation, and non-discrimination)
Demonstrable interest in human rights work including in working on emergent human rights issues in Kenya.
All applicants must possess authorisation to work in Kenya prior to applying for this position.
Should possess a valid certificate of good conduct
Excellent in written and spoken English and Swahili
Willingness to learn
Excellent Communication, Interpersonal, and Research Skills
Candidates must be able to demonstrate that they are highly motivated, possess the ability to follow standard operating procedures, are self-starters and functional problem solvers with the ability to learn.
