Intern – People and Culture/Human Resources Regional Nutrition and Health Senior Advisor

Key Responsibilities:
The Intern, under close supervision of the Senior Manager and the human resource management team, may support in the following roles:
Talent Acquisition & Recruitment

Assist in scheduling written and oral interviews
Provide support in coding Written Interview Responses
Draft Candidate profiles and send to the panel 1 day before the oral interview date
Open National Office Files and check if all documents are within the online files
Assist in the coordination of candidates during Physical Oral Interviews; i.e. plan for snacks and lunch

Onboarding & Orientation

Ensure the onboarding checklist is done before the reporting date
Send an email to the security office before the joining date of a new staff
Present the P&C basic orientation on the first day
Give the new staff a tour in the Karen Complex
Ensure the orientation program is complete by day 3
Plan and coordinate the monthly induction program
Hire new staff on Workday and ensure it is approved by the hiring manager

Staff Movements

Support the Talent Team and Business Partners in facilitating staff movements i.e. drafting and dispatching Transfers and Reassignments

GRIP Representative

Plan for Quarterly Review Meetings for the GRIP Interns with support from the GRIP Coordinator and the Committee
Be the point person between the Interns and the management especially in P&C related matters

Other

Perform any other duty as may be assigned by supervisor or designee from time to time
Participate and contribute in committees and task forces as may be signed from time to time

Eligibility Criteria

A citizen of Kenya
A recent Graduate having graduated no earlier than 2022 from a recognized University.
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management
Proficient in computer skills
Young Christian professionals 25 years of age and below with active participation in church and strong Christian commitment and experience in Christian Leadership with exposure to outreaches & missions.
Graduates with demonstrated good character, honesty, and high competency and generally in good physical and emotional health, with evidence of a recent full medical check-up for placement anywhere in Kenya.  Graduates who are either beneficiaries of World Vision’s child sponsorship program, or have experienced the impact of World Vision Kenya’s community development
