Integrator & Chief People Officer

Job Overview:​ The Integrator & Chief People Officer will work very closely with the CEO to ensure the company’s major functions are fulfilled, however, with a strong focus on culture, based on our core values, and vision is fully integrated and executed across all departments. This person will blend the healthy friction and traction that is being built in this fast-growing business into a greater energy as a whole. The  Integrator & Chief People Officer will assist department leaders in running the organisation, manage day-to-day issues that arise and serve as the glue that holds the company together. Additionally, the Chief People Officer & Integrator will be responsible for the HR department. 
Responsibilities and Duties (General)

Review, design, and execute on improvements to the organisation structure, find knowledge and skills gaps and help address them
Improve current processes and coordinate organisational procedures for optimised efficiency and productivity
Project managing board meeting preparation and creation of board meeting materials
Running quarterly business reviews
Serving as a trusted advisor and confidant to the executive team
Serve as liaison between the CEO and the rest of the company (staff, executives, senior leaders, etc.) regarding company culture, employee well-being, project updates, proposals, and planning
Interact closely with key team members to ensure P&L and KPIs are on track
Oversee daily operations through collaboration with senior management and department leaders, performing an array of tasks from generating communication, planning and coordinating all-team or management meetings, and scheduling facilities
Work with all teams to ensure processes, policies and systems are scalable and are effective in working with other departments and geographies
Support the integration of successful new business cases, activities and projects into Mr. Green’s operations
Build and develop relationships with all employees for increased efficiency and effective responsiveness into existing operations, and help to define new operational strategies, working with the CEO and executives on special projects

HR Specific

Guide and manage the overall provision of Human Resources services, policies, and programmes for the entire company.
Develop and execute HR strategy including leading of people and capacity building
Co-create and manage annual people budgets for all departments
Improve and manage company recruitment practices
Manage succession planning in the organisation to ensure business continuity
Oversee organisation development, change management initiatives, and company-wide culture and environment at work for employees.
Analyze the effectiveness of all human resources efforts, including recruiting, training and retaining staff, both financially and impact on company goals and objectives
Oversee diversity and culture initiatives
Review organizational structure, identifying any gaps, and filling them
Aligning internal processes with the leadership team and management to ensure efficient use of resources

Project Management Specific

Making sure the right people to be involved in each project are at the table
Track high priority initiatives for the executive and identifying any obstacles
Communicate initiative status to the executive, pulling in other executives or team members as necessary
Connect teams that are working on similar initiatives
Pull together and manage project teams that require input from multiple areas within the company
Provide decision support through data gathering, information analyzing and presenting considerations to relevant stakeholders

Qualifications:

8+ years working as part of an executive team
Experience in building and developing an HR department
Extensive leadership experience and proven track record to develop managers
Strong analytical skills
Experience with budget management
Human Resource practitioner (IHRM and CHRP) preferred
High emotional intelligence (EQ)
Mentoring or coaching experience
Project management skills
Proven experience organising and directing multiple teams and departments
Experience planning and leading strategic initiatives
Authorised to work in Kenya
