Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Import and Export Associate to join our Legal team. The Supply Chain Associate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of materials and products through our supply chain network. This position offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage inventory, and optimize procurement processes to support our company’s growth and expansion.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor inventory levels under bond and share reports with our customs officers on a monthly basis.
Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies to maintain accuracy
Assist in the procurement process by sharing Hs code details and tax estimates for importing various parts.
Evaluate supplier performance and maintain strong relationships and provide required certifications for smooth imports and exports.
Coordinate with logistics partners to arrange transportation and shipment of materials and products.
Track shipments and manage delivery schedules to optimize efficiency and minimize delays through regular communication with our clearing agents.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost optimization within the supply chain.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement solutions and streamline workflows.
Follow up with government agencies such as Kebs and Ntsa for approval and processing of any required documents.
Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, forecast demand, and anticipate potential issues.
Generate reports and provide insights to support decision-making and strategic planning.
Compliance and Risk Management:
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies related to supply chain operations.
Identify and mitigate risks related to supplier performance, quality, and logistics.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field.
ICMS Certification holder from KESRA or equivalent qualification.
2+ years of experience in supply chain management, procurement, or logistics, preferably in the automotive or electric mobility industry.
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and with external partners.
Detail-oriented and highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
Proficiency in MS Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) preferred.
Knowledge of supply chain best practices, inventory management principles, and logistics operations.
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and thrive in a rapidly evolving industry.
