Human Resources Specialist
Our Client Bring Global is looking for a Human Resources Specialist, who will act as the first point of contact for employees for all HR related queries and will support the talent team in the recruiting, onboarding and training of employees. The Human Resources Specialist will also handle the majority of employee documentation, including contracts, maintenance of the Kenya HR database and assist with any other administrative tasks as and when they arise, including helping with payroll. The specialist should have a good understanding and knowledge of employment law, ensuring the HR department is compliant.
Primary Responsibilities
Handling the onboarding process
Helping with various arrangements internally i.e. legal obligations, requesting for standard equipment, (ensuring its availability and delivery) and requesting for Bring Access with support from the IT team
Act as helpdesk/adviser when needed for internal processes
Preparing and amending where necessary HR documents, e.g. employment contracts
Assist with payroll by preparing and sending to the accountant the monthly salary incidences, validate the pay slips, and request the payments to treasury
Validate expense sheets and process according to actual policies
Attendance Management including monitoring vacations and absence justification
Maintenance of the Kenya database and HR folders shared with the accountant
Manage processes for insurances related to People (i.e. health; travel; equipment)
Support the talent team in career and evaluation processes, recruitment/sourcing and training
Applying the Human Resources management policies.
Providing advice, interpreting and communicating laws and regulations that ensure Bring Global-SSA is aware of its legal responsibilities and rights in line with applicable Human Resources practices
Managing disciplinary cases and provide alternative courses of action in Human Resource issues
Handling termination and transition of staff and preparing relevant reports
Requirements for the job
People oriented and results driven
Knowledge of HR systems, databases and Office
Excellent active listening, negotiation and presentation skills
Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company
Knowledge of labour law and HR best practices
Fluent in English
Qualifications (Academic)
Degree in Human Resources or related field
Experience
At least 4-5 years previous experience in a Human Resources role.
