Job Brief:
We are seeking to recruit a human resources assistant who will support various human resources functions, including recruitment, on-boarding, employee records management, compliance, HR projects and initiatives among others, ensuring smooth HR operations and provision of exceptional service to our employees.
Reports To: Human Resources Manager
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide support in the human resources function;
Assist in the recruitment process, including job postings, resume screening, interview scheduling, and coordinating with candidates;
Support the on-boarding process for new hires, including, preparation of on-boarding material, coordinating orientation sessions and ensuring all necessary employment paperwork is completed;
Assist to maintain and update employee records in HR databases and systems, while ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with data protection regulations;
Provide administrative support to the department, including scheduling meetings, preparing documents, managing correspondence, and coordinating of departmental events;
Assist in addressing routine HR inquiries, providing necessary information and routing complex questions to the appropriate area;
Support the implementation of employee engagement initiatives;
Assist in the preparation of HR reports and presentations.
Assist in ensuring compliance with labor laws and company policies;
Support audits and inspections by providing necessary documentation;
Assist with special HR projects and initiatives as assigned;
Stay updated on HR trends, best practices and legislation;
Perform other related duties as needed.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience: No previous experience required (previous internship in a HR support role is preferred).
Skills:
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Familiarity with HR software is an added advantage.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
Detail-oriented, proactive, solution-driven and a team player.
