Job Purpose
The position holder is responsible for developing and executing the Human Resource strategy of the Bank in support of the overall business plan and strategic direction, specifically in the areas of organization design, recruitment, talent development, succession planning, performance management and compensation management. To provide leadership for the Bank’s Human Resources Department to institutionalize best HR practices and ensuring optimal utilization of a well-developed Human Capital
Key Responsibilities
Formulate the HR policies, plans and objectives.
Develop comprehensive strategic recruitment and retention plans to meet the human capital needs of the business strategic goals, i.e. critical talent, critical roles, succession, career management, talent development, reward & recognition.
Direct and monitor the implementation of the Bank’s HR policies, plans and objectives.
Drive HR vision by providing functional direction, coordination and advice to the business and drive the culture change programme
Oversee the development of the Bank’s competency model and set up the infrastructure for employee training and development
Develop and guide the Bank on organisation structure, staffing, reward/compensation, recruitment, transfers, termination and promotion of all staff within the Group.
Overseeing recruitment processes, conducts strategic and proactive sourcing, building relationships with potential high-quality candidates
Develop and maintain appropriate metrics and statistics to evaluate effectiveness of recruitment processes
Forecast future human resource needs and develop strategies to meet shortfalls.
Prepare and control the approved HR budgets.
Review operating manuals and procedures for HR and work closely with the Managing Director and the Executive Committee.
Ensure proper documentation for the HR department.
Share reports from employee feedback with Heads of Departments and recommend solutions to enhancing employee engagement
Evaluate the performance of the HR team and support line managers in the process of managing performance bank wide
Identify global best practice to keep the Bank’s HR function updated
Ensure that the Bank has the relevant HR tools and practices to support its desired culture
Ensure that effective internal communications are updated, maintained and appropriately used.
Partner with the Executive team to ensure that the systems are aligned to the business needs.
Participate in the Bank’s strategy formulation and manage execution of strategy in areas of responsibility
Knowledge And Experience
Academic: University Degree, MBA
Professional: Post graduate HR, HR certification (CHRP)
Experience: Over 10 years working experience, with 5 years at senior management level

Strong verbal and written communication skills
Good interpersonal skills
Planning and organizational skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Thorough knowledge of employment related laws
Experience in HR information systems.
