Job description
Working in liaison with the Head of Human Resources, the job holder will design sound staff management, development systems and procedures that ensure that Faulu attracts and retains skilled and highly motivated personnel capable of delivering the organization’s strategic objectives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Recruitment and placement

To facilitate the recruitment and deployment of competent staff in line with business needs and ensure adherence to recruitment policies.
Development and maintenance of a pool of potential employees to ensure seamless resourcing of business functions

Talent Management and development

Implement the talent management strategy, framework and policies in line with the corporate strategy
Put performance-potential ratings for all leaders
Contracts for assessment of leaders with key providers
Identifies pools of successors to key positions
Assists and advises on career and development planning
Develop and implement career and succession plans
Designs and roll –out of appropriate development programmes

Employee Relationship Management and capacity building

Hold regular engagement forums with line managers and staff in order to disseminate HR policies, give and receive feedback from employees.
Co-ordinate the employee disciplinary process and procedures Ensure extensive training for management in all business units with regard to discipline, dismissal, appeal, and grievance and labour related processes
Manage the grievance and dispute handling procedure so as to ensure a conducive work environment
Establishes and facilitates an employee consultative process (face-face discussions), monitors on action plans
Provides procedural advice and assistance on the procedures related to grievances and disciplinary action
Provides guidance on career planning and progression
Offers counselling support to employees
Ensure timely resolution of staff queries.

Stakeholder management

Management of the separation process to ensure smooth transition of staff
Builds appropriate relationships with Trade Unions regarding organizational rights and Collective Bargaining
Review Collective Bargaining agreements with the Union

Organization design and development

Implement the Role Design Principles (RDP) and ensure principles are applied to organizational structure
Monitor/measure simple/basic culture change transformation with support from Head of Human Resources
Develops change plan or strategy for use in change process
Assists to design and run simple/basic organizational design interventions at department/Unit
Assist to design and facilitation of diversity initiatives

Workforce planning and On -site Support

Manage employee health and safety in line with OSHA policies
Manage/develop welfare and wellness practices
Ensure initiation and documentation of employee data
Facilitate employee surveys and ensure optimal participationProvide administrative support for all staff welfare activities.

Staff Optimization

Ensure optimal staff resources within the organization for maximum productivity

Co-ordination of HR Projects

Co-ordinate the Culture survey, BCTWF, and ensure implementation of action plans.Manage the role design process for all approved positions within Faulu

Pay and benefits co-ordination

Co-ordinate salary and benefits surveys to ensure that Faulu remains competitive within the industry
Alignment of HR Policies
Ensure alignment of HR policies to the group policies

Bank wide AML, KYC & CFT

Monitor, on a continuous basis, all transactions to ensure that unusual and suspicious transactions are reported to the Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO)
Implementing and enforcing the board approved AML, KYC & CFT policy in as far as is applicable within my area of responsibility

Qualifications and experience

Degree in Human Resource Management.
Higher Diploma in HR is an added advantage
5 years working experience as a generalist in a busy organization.
Minimum age 25 years.
