Human Resource Officer Job Responsibilities.
Implementing HR policies, procedures and standards
Staff recruitment and placement with regard to preparation of role profiles, adverts and receipt of the job applications;
Maintain Performance Management records;
Develop with line managers staffing and training needs for staff;
Plan, and sometimes deliver training – including inductions for new staff;
Prepare staff handbooks and review the Human Resource policy as need arises;
Review and implement policies on issues like working conditions, performance management, equal opportunities, disciplinary procedures and absence management;
Advise on pay and other remuneration issues, including promotion and benefits;
Account for the payroll and personnel records to determine employment insurance premiums, workers’ compensation coverage, liabilities, and compliance with tax laws.
Interpret and advise on employment law;
Deal with grievances and implementing disciplinary procedures
Qualifications for the Human Resource Officer Job:
A degree in Human Resource Management or related qualifications;
Have satisfactorily served as Human Resource Officer or a comparable position with similar responsibilities for a minimum of two (2) years; and
Strong planning and organizing skills; and
Ability to work in a logical, systematic manner
