KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Timely processing of employees’ contract/Payroll input, payroll attendances and sending them to accounts. Monitoring probationers, attendance/Absenteeism daily and advising line managers.
Monitoring Employees’ leave including Compassionate leave, annual leave and sick leave.
Handling employee complaints as advised by Human Resources Manager and especially those relating to payroll.
Handling grievance and disciplinary issues as advised by the Senior HRO/ HRM.
Attending welfare meetings and taking minutes as directed by the HRM.
Processing final dues for employees who cease working with the company together with certificate of service. Timely and accurate updating and maintenance of the HRMS.
Participating in both internal and external audits and ensuring all HR documents are compliant with the industry standards.
Ensuring all pensionable staff are registered with the pension scheme.
Preparation and submission of accurate weekly, monthly and ad hoc reports.
Receiving and dispatching of legal documents e.g. court summons, demand letters to Legal officer.
Processing orders of office stationeries/other requirements.
Processing/Monitoring of Work Injury Benefits cases by filling the relevant forms and dispatching of the same to the labour office.
Submitting NHIF and NSSF returns with the respective statutory bodies within the required timeline.
Overseeing HR functions at Farm level with the guidance of Senior HRO/HRM.
DESIRED COMPETENCIES/QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in HRM or Business-related field with CHRP Certification or IHRM membership in good standing
Proven experience in human resources management with at least 5 years preferably within horticulture industry.
In-depth demonstrated knowledge of labor laws, company policies, principal and practices on HR related issues. Agile, excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Demonstrated high level of integrity and confidentiality.
