Human Resource Manager

The Position
The HR Manager will be responsible for providing HR guidance and support to the organization, with specific key responsibilities as follows:-

Develop and implement HR initiatives and systems
Maintain the work structure by updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions
Maintain organizational recruitment standards by establishing a recruiting, testing, and interviewing policy and program as well as ensuring optimum staffing levels
Prepare employees for assignments by establishing and conducting orientation and training programs
Provide advisory services on all labour laws and related issues by ensuring that legal compliance is monitored and implemented as well as ensuring that any other policy and regulation governing the company is adhered to
Represent the organization at staff related hearings and investigations as well as support the management on all disciplinary and grievance issues
Advises management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues
Maintain employee records (according to policy and legal requirements) including leave and all HR administrative duties
Review employment and working conditions to ensure legal compliance including up-to-date employee contracts
Monitor and review the performance of all staff and organize necessary interventions for improvement
Maintains management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures and work with line managers to implement the company’s policies and goals
Responsible for integrations of expatriate staff and any other staff seconded from the head office into the local office both legally & otherwise.
Ensure compliance to Health and Safety Standards in line with the company policies

Qualification & Requirements
Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or any related field
Master’s degree will be an added advantage
Certificate in Microsoft office (MS Excel and MS word)
Certificate of Practice in HR
5 years minimum experience in a HR department preferably in an INGO
Excellent Communication Skills
Problem Solving Skills
Team player
Knowledge of labour laws
Results oriented and must uphold high levels of integrity
Must have the ability to train as well as excellent report writing skills
