Responsibilities for the HR Job
Coming up with a HR strategy
Manage the recruitment process from need identification to onboarding of candidates
Manage the full HR administration process
Preparing HR Procedures and staff handbook
Ensuring all staff have employment contracts and renewals, if any, are done on time
Leave management
Carrying out a training needs analysis
Facilitating some training sessions
Coordinating training
Responsible for performance management
Employee welfare management
Reward system management
Managing the exit process
Advising department heads on HR matters
Qualifications for the HR Job
Excellent understanding of the HR function (generalist)
Must have a strong grasp of the Kenya Labour Laws
At least 5 years’ experience in HR
Must understand strategic business dynamics
Must be a creative problem solver, finding solutions to work related challenges
Strong writing skills
Strong project management, time management and leadership skills
Solid problem-solving and business acumen skills
Able to establish and forge healthy working relationships in teams
Strong level of influence and negotiation skills
Excellent team work skills
Should have excellent communication skills
Keen attention to detail
