HR Manager – Generalist

About the role:
The HR Manager will largely be responsible for driving Watu Credit’s recruitment processes. Additionally, they would be critical in the management of internal policies and processes on performance management, employee engagement and remuneration.  
The ideal candidate will have experience working in a mutli-national / international environment, strong background in recruitment and demonstrable experience in managing internal HR related policies and processes.
Key Responsibilities:

Drive the end-to-end  recruitment, selection, on-boarding  and placement processes.
Operate the curent internal HR policies and processes focusing on salary reviews, performance appraisal, promotion, demotion and redundancy of employees in consultation with respective Heads of Departments and sections.
To manage and resolve conflicts, disputes, disciplinary matters, etc within the framework of the Employment Act.
To promote a corporate culture through employee engagement surveys and  employee retention programs
Oversee the disbursement of benefits, insurance and claim matters.
General administration and payroll management.

The ideal candidate should have:

Bachelor Degree in HR or Business Administration.
Minimum 5 years’ experience hands-on HR management in a KPI-based environment with at least 2 years’ experience in recruitment in an international/multinational company. Experience working abroad will be considered as an advantage.
Member of the Institute of Human Resource Management, conversant with the applicable laws on HR and occupational safety.
IT proficient, experience operating different HR technologies.
Excellent communication, organizational and planning skills.
Problem-solver, conflict-manager.
Excellent English and Swahili.
