HR Business Partner – Group Function

Role Profile

We are looking for an HR Business Partner to join ERM’s Group Functions HR team in a role focused on delivering a high-quality HR service to our global corporate functions including Finance, Legal, HR, Learning and Development, Marketing & Communications, Digital and IT.  This newly created role will report to the HR Director for Group and Global Functions, working collaboratively with two other Group HRBP’s in addition to other HR COE’s leads such as TA, Reward, DEIB etc to cover a broad generalist HR remit. They will also be working alongside HR to achieve success, the post holder will build relationships and work closely with business stakeholders across various professions and geographical locations. The role could either be based primarily in the City of London or in North America, we expect that this role will operate on a hybrid basis by mutual agreement, combining office time with homeworking.
The HR Business Partner will be responsible for the provision of a generalist HR service in partnership with the entire Group hr team to an employee population of 700+ across 12 countries. The successful candidate will be proficient in delivering a high-quality service across all aspects of the employee life cycle. Applicant will be confident in providing pragmatic, commercially focused HR advice and guidance to line managers and functional leaders.
The HR Business Partner will assist and collaborate with the HR Director for Group and Global Functions on broader people initiatives and projects in areas such as talent management, reward and engagement.  This will allow the chance for the post holder to stretch and develop in role with a view to progressing their HR career.

Duties and Responsibilities

Global responsibility for operational HR activities relating to ERM’s Group Function population, while leveraging advice and support from regional HR functions where appropriate.
Being the first point of contact for managers requiring tactical HR advice and information
Coaching line managers and leaders with a view to developing management capability, improving employee engagement and maintaining a high-performance culture
Partnering with Talent Acquisition colleagues in the recruitment and selection of appointments up to mid-management level
Partnering with Regional HR colleagues to provide a joined-up and effective HR advisory service for Group function employees globally.
Capturing changes to employment terms as they arise and ensuring that local HR teams process them accordingly with appropriate paperwork (e.g. role changes, change of hours, leavers)
Working with the HRD for Group and Global Functions on complex, sensitive or senior-level ER cases and escalating cases where appropriate
Collaborating with the HR Director for Group Functions and the wider Group HR team on people initiatives and projects in areas such as:

Talent management
Reward and recognition
Diversity, Equality and Inclusion
Employee engagement
Organisational development
Strategic People plans for Group functions
Global initiatives for functional staff populations

Leading on and delivering tactical HR project when required.
Ad hoc HR projects/assignments
Acting as cover for the HRD when required.
Prior experience using Workday/HR reporting system would be extremely beneficial.
