Reporting to: Director of Software Engineering
Key Responsibilities
Building and managing a software support team that delivers world-class service to internal stakeholders and B2B clients.
Managing and growing all software infrastructure, ensuring maximum uptime and performance of systems and optimizing as needed.
Performing admin functions on AWS cloud infrastructure and third-party development services including managing budgets on server spend, optimizing data management and performance.
Improving code quality through writing/overseeing unit tests and automation scripts; designing and helping perform code reviews.
Continually testing and validating system performance and conducting ongoing maintenance.
Providing roadmap suggestions for system architecture & infrastructure to directors and executives.
Acting as the emergency contact for system failures.
Working with Product Management, Sales, Finance, Operations, & Customer Support teams to provide new functionality and continuous improvements.
Successful Candidate Profile
7+ years of experience in programming, designing system architecture, and management (you must be comfortable coding, testing, documenting, and deploying!).
Track record of project scheduling and budgeting, and completing projects on time.
Experience managing complex solutions with multi-component systems including databases, middle ware, mobile applications, APIs with third-party providers and others.
Highly efficient communicator, able to communicate with ease across time-zones, geographies and cultures, and with different functions including sales, customer support, finance, and operations.
Strong individual contributor passionate about d.light’s mission to bring safe, clean, distributed energy to 100 million people.
Big-picture thinker able to foresee potential roadblocks and implement thoughtful, cost effective and stage-appropriate solutions.
