Job Description
This role is responsible for the development and execution of the sales and customer retention strategy for the retail channel with respect to Life Business. This includes building and managing tied and independent sales teams to achieve channel revenue, persistency, productivity and profitability targets.
KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Manages retail sales & support processes to ensure profitability & revenue targets are met.
Identifies potential new markets & opens the markets with assistance of Regional Sales Manager.
Responsible for relationship management with key stakeholders (internal and external).
Collaborate with senior management in the development of strategic and business plans to achieve the company’s overall objectives
Manage performance, coach and mentor Regional Sales Managers.
Manages daily operational (client service and or administrative) delivery within the specific functional area. Guides and directs staff to achieve operational excellence standards.
Retail team development, leadership and management through training and ongoing communications to ensure success, achievement of goals and career progression
Gather market intelligence on competitor activity and advise the business on opportunities and threats

KNOWLEDGE , EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
Technical Knowledge
5 years progressive sales and sales leadership experience, including participation as a senior member of a management team and/or business unit
A business-related degree
Diploma in Insurance or its equivalent
