Job Description
The role of the Head of Project Management will be to ensure assigned projects are completed within budgets and schedules while meeting client needs, business & investment objectives as stipulated in the Approved Athena project development manual. The role holder is expected to provide leadership for the Athena project management function by managing, coordinating, and organizing staff development within Athena.
Roles
Within the first one month, the role holder shall have both formal and informal engagements with the Athena Team and provide documented output on various touch-points and key insights with action points. He/she shall oversee the supervision, mentoring, and the development of junior staff.
Within the first three months, the role holder shall manage program of projects and project managers to ensure successful completion and coordination of all efforts. The role holder shall be responsible for ensuring that project managers:
Manage the project team including architects, engineers, workplace consultants, construction managers and administrative support.
Develop schedules and budgets for assigned projects.
Identify and evaluates alternative solutions to best meet project goals
Prepare detailed construction cost estimates and documentation for project funding authorization.
Within the three months , the role holder shall prepare detailed construction programs, project cashflows and documentation. He/she will be interfacing with the appropriate levels of management to obtain approval signatures.
Explanation of project scope and the associated costs as required is part of this process.
The role holder shall manage and coordinate large and/multiple real estate projects through all phases of design, approvals and construction. He/ she will monitor progress, provide financial control and ensure quality of all projects undertaken.
The role holder shall participate in or oversee the pre-qualification and bid evaluation process for consultants, contractors, and other outside vendors and selects vendors. He/ she shall ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.
The role holder shall meet regularly with senior management at Centum and with other top executives. He/ she must work cooperatively with all Centum Business units and manage efforts of other corporate support functions such as Legal, tax, finance risk and security.
The role holder shall operate with significant independence and minimal supervision as the principal project manager.
He/ she shall prepare regular reports on progress, budgets, and expenditures related to the management of real estate development activities; and ensure timely and appropriate reporting to the Managing Director
The role holder shall work cooperatively with and ensure that projects managers work cooperatively with the appropriate delivery team and project client to clarify specific needs and requirements and keeps client up-to-date on project status throughout process.
Job Requirements

Personable individual and excellent communicator who can build close and effective working relationships with all stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to build relationships and motivate teams of people.
An effective and ethical leader with the maturity to deal with sensitive issues
Direct management of large, complex real estate projects with responsibility for site analysis, permitting and approvals, budget control, estimating, design and construction coordination, and project scheduling.
At least 10 years’ experience in relevant field of real estate development, design or construction having successfully completed multiple projects.
Bachelor’s degree in business management, engineering, architecture, BSC, construction management or related field.
