GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
The position’s key responsibilities are:
Develop and lead the implementation of effective and efficient company policies and processes aligned with the strategic goals
Direct, manage and oversee day-to-day administrative and operational functions of the business
Providing oversight and strategy input to the Human Resources, Legal and Logistics departments.
Ensure an optimized organizational structure with the right people in the right positions, ensuring achievement of productivity targets
Managing the organization’s customer service operations to enhance a customer-centric culture, improve turnaround time and meet customer retention targets.
SPECIFIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Operations Officer is responsible and accountable for the following core job elements:
Ensure optimal operational performance while generating interdepartmental synergy to deliver excellent customer service
Regularly evaluate the efficiency of business procedures according to organizational objectives and apply improvements
Review financial information and adjust operational budgets to promote profitability. Ensure operational costs are kept to a minimum
Implement necessary checks and balance to mitigate operational risks across all departments and to ensure the best interest of the company
Planning, developing and implementing operational strategies for the business to meet agreed performance targets within agreed-upon budgets and timescales
Develop policies and procedures for implementing quality and customer-service standards. Build and retain a customer-centric and operational excellent culture
Supports the Directors on their initiatives, with clear and timely communication on all relevant governance, compliance and risk matters
Manage the flow of information to the Directors, capturing the salient, need-to-know and value-added information required to drive the company strategy
Proactively strive to have an in-depth understanding and keep abreast of the new laws and regulations of the local and international property market being aware of the current legal issues of the country specifically pertaining to the property law.
EDUCATIONAL & COLLATERAL REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in business or related field
Ten (10) or more years of experience in project management. Experience in the real estate sector is an added advantage.
Experience leading multiple departments in meeting targets
Experience implementing strategic plans across the business
Thorough understanding of management of a real estate business, regulatory compliance and reporting as well as demonstrable commercial and business acumen
Outstanding strategic, problem-solving, negotiation, communication and change management skills
Experience providing leadership and oversight to Legal, Finance, HR and Logistics teams
Proof he or she is an independent thinker able to negotiate, persuade and influence high level decision making at the top levels of the business.
