A Bit About The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing a vision to drive marketing strategy, demand generation, content strategy, event marketing, product marketing, sales enablement, marketing operations, corporate communications, digital marketing, and partner and customer liaison.

Requirements

Your daily adventures include:

Play an active role in developing the organization’s brand strategy in collaboration with the Regional Head of Acquiring- Africa and the Marketing Director
Ensure clear articulation of the brand’s desired image and positioning to its external target audiences in relevant channels
Ensure consistent communication of image and positioning across the company and in all relevant geographical markets
Provide efficient and effective marketing services support to other teams in the company
Lead in the development of the market research strategy to inform critical decisions on brand positioning, competition, customer experience and product and service development
Scope and manage an appropriate marketing budget and take responsibility for return on marketing investment
Develop marketing strategy and GTM plans
Motivate, mentor, and develop a marketing team with clear marketing KPIs, with ultimate responsibility for setting and delivering them
Lead activities across digital acquisition, pipeline generation and brand
Implement a data-driven approach to analysing, automating, and optimizing a target list of strategic accounts that predictably drives high conversions and pipeline
Work closely with partners and the regional sales teams to understand market needs and create go-to-market strategies, communication and collateral that reflects the company’s key differentiators
Drive PR, AR, and an engaging social presence to gain mindshare and tell the company story through media coverage, physical and digital events, webinars, industry media, online communities, and social networks
Manage relationships with external agencies and consultancies providing specialist input and support to the marketing effort. This includes but is not limited to Public Relations and Digital Advertising Agencies

What It Takes To Succeed

5+ years’ experience in building, managing, and leading a marketing function with a strong ability to translate and distil technical concepts into propositions suitable for the organizations target market personas
Minimum bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field
Experience with branding, brand voice and evolution
Experience with digital marketing strategies
Advanced proficiency in Excel is a given
Experience with building and leading multi-faceted teams, with an emphasis on marketing strategy, demand generation, and product marketing
Proven success leading the brand messaging & positioning of a technology products and services organization
Demonstrated track record delivering results against sales and marketing plans
Experience in a fast-paced start-up/scale-up environment, B2B focus is highly desirable
