Job description
Oversee the whole of Concepts ’ commercial operation, providing direct support to the CEO.
For this purpose, design and deliver a commercial strategy that will drive value and thus maximise commercial revenue receipts, and for that purpose meet and exceed commercial revenue targets.
Create bespoke plans that will deliver the overall aims of the commercial strategy.
In conjunction with the CEO, agree priorities and objectives for the commercial department, and agree budgets and targets.
Secure the sponsorship of unsold ‘big ticket’ items such as the stadium and business suite.
Be entrepreneurial and innovative in creating new inventory, partnerships, revenue streams and ideas.
Via excellent account management, ensure that existing commercial relationships are nurtured, maintained and value enhanced.
Provide strategic direction in the identification and targeting of specific businesses and high net worth individuals as potential commercial partners at the Dragons.
Negotiate, prepare and secure contracts with commercial partners and ensure compliance with their requirements.
Establish Rodney Parade as a venue of choice for nonmatch day conferencing, events and meetings.
Ensure delivery of a first-class match day experience for corporate clients.
Leadership/Management/Corporate
Create strong relationships with immediate reports, demonstrate effective management and drive standards across our commercial operation.
Provide and present Board reports as required, and work with the Finance Manager to ensure all relevant information is readily available.
Develop inter-department relationships that will help support commercial activity and achieve commercial targets.
Undertake staff reviews and consider CPD requirements for your immediate reports.
Ensure safe working practices at all times and comply with all company policies and procedures.
