Main Responsibilities of Job
Track staff resource utilization, hire new staff, create budget plans, draft contingency plans, conduct quality assurance testing, manage patient billing, arrange work schedules, and training healthcare professionals.
Encourage professional growth of personnel through regular training sessions, and by acting as a resource to clinical staff;
Work collaboratively with the hospital physicians to ensure high quality, cost effective and accessible patient care services;
Keep up to date on scientific and medical progress in the area of development and actively develop and maintain relationships with eternal experts;
Support the development of products and day-to-day clinical support for the hospital;
Provide feedback on policies and procedures that dictate the data abstraction process;
Administer the patient/nursing services across the hospital;
Supervise clinical teams;
Assume responsibility and have authority for maintaining the quality of patient care for all clinical services;
Manage and execute the hospital objectives, standards of care, policies and procedures affecting clinical services and dependencies;
Participate in on-going strategic planning work through collaboration with the CEO and the Senior Management team;
Define authority, functional responsibility lines of reporting and communication for nursing, all therapies and social service;
Manage and direct evaluation of the clinical operations of assigned staff;
Monitor and analyze monthly statistical data, outcomes, and productivity reports;
Participate in clinical audits;
Prepare reports and analysis for presentation during Clinical Committee meetings and the board.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, MBCHB, Public Health, Healthcare Management or other Health related course.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the healthcare sector.
Experience in a managerial position is an added advantage.
Thorough knowledge of clinical medicine and clinical pharmacology and associated disciplines.
Working with statisticians, laboratory colleagues and project team- members to optimally interpret and report results of completed studies.
Contribution to regulatory filings, dossiers, and updates.
Demonstrated ability working on cross-disciplinary teams to evaluate outside opportunities for licensing or acquisition.
Demonstrated ability to effectively manage several priorities simultaneously in a fast paced, changing environment.
Solid computer skills – requirement of MS applications including (but not limited to), Word, Excel.
Ability to prioritize effectively and respond to urgent requests within team.
Excellent communication (verbal and written), and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently, prioritize and function effectively within a matrix team environment.
Excellent verbal, written, communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
Possess analytical skills necessary to accurately follow the latest facility policies and legal regulations.
Detail-oriented with good organizational abilities.
