Responsibilities:
Customer relations and service to appraise customers in all aspects of their orders and shipments.
Negotiation with customers on shipping schedules depending on availability of vessels and product.
Preparation of shipping schedules.
Prepare and process export shipping documents.
Management of sales postings and compilation of sales reports.
Liaison with shipping stakeholders and ensure that goods are delivered to customers in a timely and efficacious manner.
Management of freight costs as per existing shipping contracts.
Vetting of supplier invoices related to the shipping process as per contracts.
Carry out periodic stock reconciliations and highlight any shortfalls or inconsistencies.
Requirements:
Bachelor degree or Diploma in Shipping Management, Logistics, Supply Chain, Clearing & Forwarding or a recognized shipping practice.
Professional membership in Shipping (Institute of Chartered shipbrokers) will be an added advantage.
Good working knowledge in International Trade & application of Incoterms, clearing & forwarding, customs declaration, export / import commercial & legal regulations and procedures.
Minimum 3 years of shipping / supply chain experience.
Excellent communication skills, contacts and rapport with representatives of Logistics services providers and shipping partners.
Excellent grasp of current C&F procedures and practices and ability to pick up relevant information in the industry both formally and informally.
Salary offer: 650 – 750 USD
