This position will be responsible for overseeing and managing the daily administrative and operational activities of the company. The primary objective will be to ensure smooth and efficient operations across various departments, maintain compliance with regulatory requirements, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. The position holder will work closely with senior management, department heads, and external stakeholders to achieve strategic goals and enhance the overall effectiveness of the company’s operations.
Duties & Responsibilities
Develop and implement the company’s administration and operations strategy in alignment with organizational goals and industry best practices.
Foster a culture of excellence, teamwork, and continuous improvement in the execution company’s policies, processes and procedures.
Oversee the day-to-day administrative and operational functions of the company, including trade processing, settlements, client onboarding, documentation, and regulatory compliance.
Develop and enforce operational policies, procedures, and controls to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, risk mitigation, and operational efficiency.
Identify areas for process improvement and automation, leveraging technology to enhance operational effectiveness and reduce costs.Stay abreast of regulatory changes and ensure the company’s operations remain compliant with relevant laws, regulations, and guidelines.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with regulatory authorities and industry bodies.
Collaborate with risk management teams to identify, assess, and mitigate operational risks.
Develop and implement robust risk management frameworks, ensuring proper controls and monitoring mechanisms are in place.
Conduct regular risk assessments and implement appropriate remedial actions as necessary.
Oversee relationships with external service providers and vendors ensuring effective vendor selection, contract negotiations, and performance management.
Collaborate with stakeholders to evaluate and select appropriate technology solutions and platforms to support operational requirements.
Monitor and control operational budgets, ensuring cost-effective utilization of resources.
Identify opportunities to streamline processes and reduce operational expenses while maintaining service quality.
Collaborate with HR to recruit, train, mentor, and manage a high-performing team of administrative and operational professionals.
Foster a culture of learning and development, promoting professional growth and succession planning.
Manage performance of the team in the department and take appropriate action on achieved results.
Any other duty as may be assigned by supervisor or management from time to time.
Requirements
Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Economics or any other relevant field.
Minimum five (5) years’ experience in a similar role within investment banking or relatedfields.
CISI II certification is mandatory.
Experience in establishing and reviewing Operations’ policies
Ability to manage stakeholders’ engagements at different levels
Demonstrated organization and planning skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
