Responsibilities
To plan and uphold mechanical and maintenance schedules by preparing daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual maintenance schedules that guarantee motor vehicles, equipment availability, and legal compliance at optimal cost.
Carry out regular inspections of motor vehicles, motorbikes, and other earth-moving equipment to proactively identify required repairs, spares, tools, equipment, and materials. This also includes carrying out troubleshooting/fault diagnosis on motor vehicles, motorbikes, and other earth-moving equipment and providing solutions promptly to support seamless operations and minimal business disruption arising from motor vehicle-related failures.
Lead, mentor, and motivate team members to achieve operational excellence.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the department.
Provide support to the procurement function to ensure timely and quality acquisition and delivery of motor vehicles and other equipment spare parts.
To be actively involved in continual improvement projects to contribute to the resort’s journey towards operational excellence.
Updating of repairs and maintenance records and reports on time for planning and decision-making.
Ensure that all vehicles meet regulatory compliance and safety standards.
Train drivers as needed for any related mechanical issues.
Training operators on the safe and efficient use of machinery and equipment
Maintain the workplace in a safe and tidy condition through good housekeeping practices.
Qualifications
Dip / Bsc Electrical / Mechanical/ Manufacturing Engineering/ relevant training.
4 years’ experience repairing both petrol and diesel engines. Auto electric skills/car diagnosing skills will be an added advantage.
Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair procedures.
Good communication skills and knowledge in the use of basic computer software skills.
