GSLA Mentors

Reporting To: Project Officer
Responsibilities Overview:

Monitor and mentor groups on the GSLA methodological best practices.
Should attend weekly group meeting as indicated in GSLA training manual phases that will be provided.
Resolve GSLA members’ conflicts diplomatically and by following the group constitution.
Refer GSLAs and their members to access other critical services as needed.
Encouraged participation of all members in meeting procedures
Check group records for accuracy and consistency
Request group to recall learning elements from training when deviations are noted
Encourage group-to-group learning when there are deviations from the norms
Prompt and guide the groups to think about their constitution during procedures
Provide group with clear coaching to clarify deviations
Provide correct technical guidance to group
Appropriately mentor the conduct of group leaders
Broaden the network of the groups to the reach other service providers/private sector/sponsors and even open doors to otherwise out-of-reach reach opportunities.
Correctly collect data from group records

Should demonstrate an entrepreneurship mindset in order to promote a market-led system.
Should demonstrate the ability to train/impart skills to other people.
Ability to collect data.
monitoring and enhancing the performance of the groups by providing encouragement and constructive feedback.
