The Growth & Expansion Manager will be responsible for the geographic expansion of Mr. Green Africa within the region while also spearheading business development growth and overseeing multi-country Sourcing & Key partnership activities.
As the Growth & Expansion Manager, you will be responsible for launching and executing the operation of our business in new countries in the region. This includes research into new territories, building a local staff on the ground and also helping in the initial setup until a local team is up and running. You will be working very closely with the Chief Growth and Innovation Officer to craft an expansion strategy and help build out our operations.
Tasks
Research and obtain feedback from stakeholders in order to shape the expansion strategy of MGA Hubs in Eastern, Western and Southern Africa.
Write and own the Expansion playbook: Comprehensively understand the past, present and desired future of the business. Define our Expansion roadmap as guidance to how we operate; effective in the short-term and scalable over the long-term.
Define GTM strategy: Research and develop a deep understanding of Mr. Green business model in the context of potential markets, including addressable size, readiness and competitive landscape.
Execute the launch of MGA operations into new cities in the regions.
Organise multidisciplinary teams to achieve the common goal of expanding into new towns and cities.
Organise the setting up of Sourcing Hubs in different countries, cities and towns.
Find parties to carry out mergers and acquisitions to support expansion strategies in the region.
Work closely with the Chief Growth and Innovation Officer to set the expansion strategy and targets for growth in your region.
Develop new and maintain existing relationships with key partners.
Document initiatives and create systems to significantly grow impact.
Develop inventory management, logistics and sourcing strategies in new cities.
Input to strategic custom projects, including new initiatives and regional collaborations between country projects and teams.
Oversee multiple project teams, ensuring program goals are reached.
Work closely with project sponsors, cross-functional teams and assigned project officers to plan and develop scope.
Requirements
3-5 years of experience in Startup Expansion, Inventory Management, Sourcing and Logistics
Experience in strategizing, planning and dealing with multiple stakeholders
Experience in setting up supply chain operations in new towns and cities in African countries
Good knowledge of data analysis and risk assessment
Attention to detail
Exceptional communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Project Management qualification or experience desired
