Contract Type: 2 Year Contract Renewable subject to funding or performance
Job Purpose:
To deliver and expand the scope of energy efficiency and renewable energy integration in enterprises and ensure climate change issues receive the requisite attention including assisting enterprises develop comprehensive resource management programme.
Key objectives
Promote quality green growth products and services
Efficient reporting on CGGCC/CEEC performance and its related activities
Support the growth of CGGCC/CEEC to enhance its contribution to KAM overall sustainability
Duties & Responsibilities
Provide technical advice on issues related to firm level resource management including energy, water/waste water and raw materials utilization;
Link industry with Energy, water and waste service providers to facilitate energy and water audits and support implementation of resource efficiency projects in their facilities;
Develop innovative products and services to support industry growth and generate income for KAM.
Promote green and circular economy best practices and green lending opportunities to ensure enterprises adopt low carbon /green growth initiatives in their operations;
Contribute in writing Terms of Reference (ToR) to mobilize specialized experts on specific assignments, facilitate experts to conduct their duties with ease ;
Promote trainings, seminars, Clean technology exhibitions and other related services to industry
Liaise with the Association of Large Electricity Consumers (AOLEC) to ensure concerns of the greater KAM membership are represented to the Government;
Assist the Centre for Green Growth and Climate Change Manager in coordination and supervisory functions as may be assigned from time to time;
Any other duties as may be assigned by the Chief Executive.
Requirements:
University degree in Environmental or Energy Engineering from a recognized institution;
CEM or EIA Certification will be an added advantage;
Good background in project development in areas of resource efficiency and/or renewable energy technologies;
Minimum 5 years of professional working experience;
Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
Effective organizational skills, team player and attentive to detail;
Knowledge of the manufacturing industry
