Responsibilities:
Oversee PATH’s Duty of Care program and Safety and Security Framework including all related policies, procedures and requirements such as documentation, equipment and training.
Lead the organizational culture for Duty of Care for staff across the organization.
Develop, implement, and roll out organizational policies with regards to safety and security.
Work closely with the GFTS associates and wider team to ensure synchronization across divisions and departments.
Provide input into budgeting for duty of care and safety and security.
Act as security point of contact with International SOS, PATH’s medical and security assistance provider.
Lead on Safety and Security advice during organizational crises and oversee incident, emergency, and crisis response at a country level.
Conduct regular proactive security analyses for locations where PATH has a presence or is traveling.
Work with Regional GFTS Associates to develop contingency plans for countries during high risk periods (elections, natural disasters etc.).
Work with BD to team to complete risk assessments and security planning for potential projects during the proposal phase.
Work with programs / project teams to update risk assessments and complete security planning for new projects.
Provide safety and security input for high-risk countries or countries considered for new PATH presence.
Required skills and experience:
Bachelor’s degree.
Seven years of relevant work experience.
Experience in security program management
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, in writing and orally, especially during high pressure situations.
Experience in non-profit setting, especially with USG funding.
Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment and work both independently and as part of a team.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience identifying, recommending, and initiating new processes, procedures and systems in response to changing needs.
Experience in incident or emergency management.
Willingness to travel to PATH field offices across the globe
Advanced training or certification in safety and security preferred.
Desirable: First Aid Trainer qualification
