About The Role
The FAS team is made up of in-country and global associates that are the trusted advisors to executive teams in the area of financial sustainability. We are looking for someone who is good with numbers and has a background in accounting.
Responsibilities
Project Manage Monthly Financial Reporting: Lead efforts to prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow), and update the full-year financial projections. You will achieve this through effective project management of the month-end process and working collaboratively with the FAS and Accounting teams. This will require advanced Excel skills (can maintain complex spreadsheets), financial knowledge, and the ability to maintain professional relationships and explain complex terms in simple language.
Build robust models and systems: As the technical lead in our reporting and budgeting processes, you will have the responsibility for developing and improving technical tools and systems, ensuring that they are continuously and proactively improved in line with the growth of the organization and evolving program needs.
Compile financial information: You will have overall responsibility of the ‘data model’ and presentation layers of all of our key reports, leading the consolidation of financial information sourced from several information sources, including maintenance of data sources in PowerBi, our management reporting tool. This will require some understanding of SQL and advanced Excel skills (can maintain complex spreadsheets).
Consulting on Financially Impactful Decisions: You may be called upon to prepare financial models that blend sound concepts of accounting, modeling, and finance expertise. Examples include gross margin analysis models and project profitability reports.
Support on the Long-Term Financial Strategy: We use long-term planning to chart a path to sustainable growth for our nine countries and $200m+ budget. You will support the process and push for the right balance between impact ($ that a farmer earns), scale (# of farm families we serve), and sustainability ($ it costs us to serve a farmer).”
Career Growth and Development
We have a strong culture of constant learning and we invest in developing our people. You’ll have weekly check-ins with your manager, access to mentorship and training programs, and regular feedback on your performance. We hold career reviews every six months, and set aside time to discuss your aspirations and career goals. You’ll have the opportunity to shape a growing organization and build a rewarding long-term career.
